Our protagonists actively frame themselves on camera to perform one of the last private, unconscious and un-surveiled act in modern society – their own sleep.

An uncontrolled insight into their rooms and private life, Sleepingsquad is a multi-channel video installation which processes live-stream video of people sleeping on social media.

Manja Ebert is a Berlin based media artist working in the field of video and installation.
Her works engage a discourse of popular culture, examining the audiovisual representation of pop stars and self-promotion concepts of young people on the Internet.
